It’s typically taken once a day, with 8 to 10 hours between each dose. Muscle aches in adults - 2mg to 15mg daily. This can be taken in two or three doses. You can increase the dosage up to 20mg, taken a day thrice if needed. You should take a low dose of this medication if you’re over 65 or have liver or kidney problems or severe breathing problems. Also, remember that your doctor will decide the dosage of Diazepam for you, and it’s essential to use the medicine exactly as the doctor suggested. Side Effects Like any other benzodiazepine, the side effects of Diazepam include respiratory and CNS depression, withdrawal syndrome, and dependence.
